Koinonia Global, Abuja | Apostle Joshua Selman
The atmosphere at Koinonia Global’s May 2026 Miracle Service was charged from the very first note of worship. With voices lifted and hands raised, the congregation declared what would set the tone for the entire evening: “What a beautiful name it is — the name of Jesus Christ.” It was not merely a song. It was a declaration. A war cry. A reminder that above cancer, above failure, above every named affliction, the name of Jesus stands higher.
Thousands gathered — in the auditorium, across the overflow venues, and connected online from across the globe — all with one expectation: an encounter with the miracle-working God.
Opening Worship: Declaring the Name Above All Names
The May 2026 Miracle Service opened with a powerful atmosphere of worship as the congregation lifted their hands and voices to declare the supremacy of the name of Jesus. From the very first moments, the tone was set — this was not an ordinary gathering.
“Cancer is a name, but the name of Jesus is higher and greater than cancer. Failure is a name, but the name of Jesus is higher and greater than failure.”
The congregation was led into deep, intentional worship, offering what Apostle Selman described as “the calves of your lips” — a sacrifice of praise arising from genuine gratitude and expectation.
Celebrating Sound of Revival UK: A Moment of Gratitude
Before the main service commenced, Apostle Selman led the congregation in a time of thanksgiving for the recently concluded Sound of Revival UK, held in Liverpool. A brief media recap was shown, offering a glimpse into what was described as a phenomenal display of the grace of God.
“It was a phenomenal display of the grace of God. The pictures and videos honestly do not do justice to what God did there.”
Apostle Selman expressed heartfelt appreciation to the global body of Christ, Koinonia UK, the spiritual leadership across Europe, and all the workers who laboured to make the event a success. He noted that thousands had gathered, with many unable to gain entry due to the sheer volume of attendees.ettle this in your heart — God desires this for you.
The Teaching: Six Keys to Releasing the Supernatural Power of God
The heart of the service was a rich, foundational teaching on how believers can provoke the power of God for supernatural interventions, healings, and miracles. Apostle Selman opened with a declaration of intent: this service was designed to create an atmosphere for divine encounters and visitations.
He anchored the teaching in Luke 1:68–69 — “He has visited and redeemed His people” — establishing that God is still in the business of visiting His people.
“The supernatural and the miraculous is how God intervenes over His people. But these two are sponsored by the power of God.”
Declare it:
Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.” – Hebrews 4:16 (KJV)
Key 1: Know and Believe That God Is a Supernatural God
Drawing from John 4:24 — “God is spirit” — Apostle Selman taught that engaging God at any level is a spirit interaction. To receive from God, one must operate spiritually and understand how the spirit realm functions. Knowing God is supernatural means His operations are beyond science, and nothing should be surprising when He moves overnight.
“It won’t take so long to change my life. If He made the whole universe in seven days, I don’t think I’m that complicated.”
Key 2: Know and Believe That God Is a Miracle-Working God
Apostle Selman drew a clear distinction between the supernatural and the miraculous. While the supernatural describes God’s nature and mode of operation, the miraculous specifically refers to divine intervention in situations where things have gone off course.
“A miracle is a supernatural intervention where God superimposes the natural course of things and brings corrections, brings realignments, until everything becomes consistent with His will.”
He declared from Psalm 77 that God is the One who does wonders, who commands the waters, the clouds, the lightning, and the earth — and that same God can turn around any situation.
Key 3: Understand the Purpose of Miracles and Interventions
Every miracle carries a divine purpose. Apostle Selman outlined four things that miracles reveal:
- The mercy of God
- The love of God
- The wisdom of God
- The power of God
All miracles, ultimately, are meant to bring glory to Jesus and make visible the goodness of God among men.
Key 4: Know the Will of God as Revealed in His Word
This key received extensive treatment. Apostle Selman taught that the power of God has one singular assignment: to bring validation to the Word of God. If the Word of God does not move, the power of God has no assignment.
“God has exalted His Word even above His name. He has submitted Himself to the dictates of the Word.”
He outlined three channels for knowing the will of God:
- Scripture — the greatest and most sustainable way
- The revelatory ministry of the Holy Spirit
- The prophetic office
He urged believers to anchor their confidence not in visions, dreams, or feelings, but in what is written. “Your Christian experience will remain superstitious until you anchor your confidence on the word of God.”
Key 5: Place a Demand on the Power of God by Faith
Faith, Apostle Selman explained, is not merely believing — it is acting in obedience as proof of your belief. “It is not faith until it requires obedience.”
Using the example of the man at the Pool of Bethesda who had been lame for 38 years, he illustrated that the childlike act of obeying a seemingly impossible instruction is what connects the believer to the miracle. Prophetic instructions given during prayer time must be obeyed, even when the physical condition has not yet changed.
“How easy it is when we learn to believe God and respond to our believing with childlike faith.”
Key 6: Give Glory to God for Every Manifestation of His Power
The final key was the discipline of thanksgiving and testimony. Apostle Selman stated clearly that those who consistently give God glory secure a perpetual flow of His miracle-working power.
“For every time God moves mightily in your life, never take Him for granted. Let the nations see Him.”
He identified two primary ways to give God glory: thanksgiving and testimonies. These are not mere religious rituals — they are the systems through which believers position themselves for continued manifestation of God’s power..

Rebuking the Spirit of Fear
Before moving into the ministry of the Spirit, Apostle Selman paused to minister specifically from 2 Timothy 1:7 — “God has not given us the spirit of fear.”
He taught that fear is a spirit that opens the door to every other oppressive spirit. It operates through imagery, imagination, and perception — and it must be dealt with on two levels: casting the spirit and dismantling the mental infrastructure it has built.
“Fear has kept champions hiding like Gideon. Fear of yesterday. Fear of now. Fear of tomorrow. And the icing on the cake — fear of opinions.”
The congregation was led in prayer to bind the spirit of fear and to dismantle every belief system, perception, and imagination that has served as its infrastructure.
Prayer and Declarations
The congregation prayed through several strategic declarations:
- A prayer for evidence — that God’s goodness, favour, and answered prayers would be visible proof of knowing, loving, and serving Him
- A prayer against demonic assignments — binding every spirit assigned to fight destinies, visions, and mantles
- A declaration of advancement — “I advance by the power and the wisdom of God”
These prayers were drawn directly from scripture and taught not as rituals but as acts of faith aligned with the Word of God.
The Healing Ministry
As the teaching concluded, Apostle Selman led the congregation into a powerful time of healing prayer. With hands laid on areas of physical affliction, he released the healing anointing over the congregation and across the global audience.
Specific conditions addressed in prayer included:
Bone and joint conditions, cardiovascular problems, respiratory issues, reproductive disorders, neurological conditions, blood diseases, cancer, HIV, kidney and liver failure, migraines, ulcers, nasal blockages, degenerative disc disease, appendicitis, stroke, speech impediments, and more.
Several words of knowledge were also released, with specific names, locations, and conditions identified by the Spirit — including a vision concerning a family in Akwa Ibom, a man in Borno State with a kidney condition, and prophetic words over individuals named Christiana, Vincent, Josephine, Sullean, and others.
Testimonies: Signs That Followed
At the call for testimonies, men and women came forward from the congregation to report what God had done during the service. A selection of verified testimonies included:
Bone Fracture Healed — A man who sustained a bone fracture in an automobile accident in April 2021, and had been in severe pain since, testified that all pain had left his body.
Nasal Blockage Opened — Multiple individuals reported immediate relief from chronic nasal congestion. One woman had struggled to breathe through her nose since 2020; during the service, the blocked nostril opened completely.
Footballer’s Knee Restored — A young footballer who had sustained a serious knee injury in a motor accident in December 2025 reported that he could now bend, kneel, and move freely.
Chest Pain Resolved — A man who had experienced a burning sensation in his chest for 8 years testified that the pain had completely vanished.
Rheumatism Pain Gone — A woman who could not bend or kneel due to rheumatic pain for over two months testified that she could now kneel freely without any pain.
Post-Operative Complications Healed — A woman who had undergone appendix surgery and suffered complications that made it impossible to stand for extended periods testified that after prayer, she had been standing without difficulty.
Severe Back Pain Healed — An elderly woman who had been unable to walk upright due to back pain caused by carrying heavy loads was seen walking freely and bending without difficulty.
Lumbar Pain Healed in Footballer — A footballer with two months of lumbar pain, who had dreamed that his career was over, testified that the pain had completely disappeared.
Finger Numbness Gone — A man who had lost sensation in a finger for a month, with no response to medication, testified that full feeling had been restored.
Deliverance Ministry
Apostle Selman moved in the deliverance anointing, addressing specific spiritual strongholds including:
- The spirit of delay
- Generational altars
- Spirits fighting against longevity of impact
- Premature death and untimely loss within family lines
- Demonic programming over destinies in Bauchi State and other regions
Families represented at the service and across the global audience received prophetic covering and spiritual liberty through declaration and prayer.

Prayer Over Written Requests
Prayer requests submitted by the congregation and global online audience were brought to the altar. Apostle Selman knelt in prayer, drawing from 2 Kings 19:14–19 — where Hezekiah spread the enemy’s letter before the Lord — as the scriptural basis for presenting written needs before God.
“Every request that’s been written here — let it be turned into testimonies.”
The prayers covered turnarounds, change of stories, breakthroughs, restorations, healings, deliverances, and the opening of the book of remembrance.
Final Prayers and Declarations
Apostle Selman led the congregation through three closing declarations:
Declaration of Restoration — Based on 1 Samuel 30:18, where David recovered all, believers declared restoration of time, things, relationships, and opportunity.
Calling Forth Strategic Helpers — Drawn from 1 Chronicles 12:1, believers called forth helpers of their destiny, vision, ministry, and business in this season.
Prayer for Timely Help — Rooted in Hebrews 4:16 — “grace to help in time of need” — believers prayed that help would arrive when needed most, and not after the need had consumed them.
Altar Call: New Decisions for Christ
Before the close of service, Apostle Selman opened the altar for those making first-time decisions for Christ or rededications. Individuals from across the auditorium, overflows, and the global online audience were invited to respond.
“Making it right with Jesus is the wisest decision any man can make on this side of God’s kingdom.”
Those who responded were led in a prayer of salvation, received a declaration of forgiveness and grace, and were welcomed into the family of faith.
The Blessing
Apostle Selman closed the service by speaking the Aaronic blessing over the congregation, drawn from Numbers 6:22–23. His declarations covered every dimension of life — health, provision, safety, wisdom, favour, protection from premature death, and supernatural advancement.
“I forbid you from failing. I place a mark of victory upon your head. Go forward in Jesus’ name. Advance in Jesus’ name. Make progress in Jesus’ name.”
